Harvest Fest

Harvest Fest is Sanchez Elementary School's primary fundraiser for the year. It is an all- day school carnival that provides fun activites, food, and a haunted house, which the ACEE members generally help set up and participate in.

Contact Mrs. Maldonado, she usually heads this up. AmeriCorps always helps with the set-up, running, and clean-up of the haunted house.

Jennifer San Pedro (VISTA 1999-2000) says:

"If AmeriCorps helps out with this, make sure you have a 'shift schedule' because it usually lasts from 11am to 3pm. Last year, members were tired, worn-out, and many did not have a chance to participate in any other activities. This is why they should make sure they stick to their schedule. You do not have to worry about props or masks, Sanchez Elementary usually provides that. But, you may want to wear all black or a cape."
