Networking with Others in Development

If you want to network with other development professionals, ask questions, share resources, talk about your activities, or help others working in development, sign up for the AidWorkers Network. It's free to sign up and participate.

If you are an Open University student or graduate and the focus of your studies was development or environment, you should join the OU Development & Environment Society (OUDES); for alumni, you should also join OU's Global Development Management Alumni Association.

a moderated, very high traffic email-based discussion group to discuss the wide range of issues related to bridging the digital divide. INSTRAW ICTNet
an e-mail-based discussion regarding gender aspects of information communications technologies (ICTs) -- mostly computers and the Internet. This list is hosted by the U.N. International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women, also known as UN INSTRAW. Discussions are focused on issues for women in developing countries, although much of the information is applicable for any geographic area where efforts are being undertaken to encourage women's use of ICTs.
